These animals are usually pet animals that either can no longer be looked after by their current owner/s or have been swapped for animals in other rescue centre when wanting to specialise in a particular type of animals such as reptiles or birds.
Rescued Wild Animals
The centre has a wide range of rescued wild animals that the specially trained staff care for and are ever expanding.
These animals can be injured wild animals or animals that are at risk of being put down if not moved etc. Some of the animals that have been rescued are hedgehogs, ducks, geese etc

Introduction
This website shall contain lots of information about Wetheriggs Animal Rescue Centre and the animals therin.
The centre strives to allow sick and injured animals to have another chance at life. Many of the animals within the centre are in a state of rehabilitation and so visitors to the centre are often shocked by some of the animals appearences.
Adopted Animals
There are many animals within the centre a gallery of some of these can be seen here. Some of the adopted animals that have been taken in over the years are Runner Ducks, Donkeys, Hares and Horses, along with many more exotic animals such as Snakes, Skinks and Tortoises.
New Arrivals:
Bengal Eagle Owl
and many more needy animals
Please note, our animals are NOT trained, and are allowed to display their natural behaviour. We therefore insist that all children MUST be supervised at all times to ensure their safety. If an animal is causing a problem, please alert a member of staff immediately.
